Saint Dulce of the Poor.
"My mission is to love, I don't have time to tear others down"
Irmã Dulce Pontes was a Brazilian Catholic Franciscan Sister (26 May 1914 – 13 March 1992) She was canonized this month in the Catholic Church. In 1949, she started caring for the poorest of the poor in her convent's chicken yard in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil. Today, more than 3,000 people arrive every day at this same site.
I depict her here playing the accordion. It is said she used to play in the streets, busking, raising whatever money she could to use for the convents mission caring for the poor
