A play on the " Cloud of Unknowing Icon", Icons can not only be a “window” to the divine, or to the lives of Jesus, Mary and the Saints.
An icon is also called a mirror.
In it, we behold the face of Christ. Yet we also see our own true face. Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God. Jesus doubled down being human, wounds and all. The viewer sees themselves in the icon. A physical representation of God’s love reflecting back at us.
